  • March 2015 - June 2017

    Afrihost -Tech Support

    My duties ranged from responding to a broad range of clients queries via mail and telephonically, assisting with troubleshooting and resolving client website errors. As my role grew, not only did I pick up a greater level of people management skills and insights, but I grew my PHP and JavaScript knowledgebase. A core focus while working on client websites was dedicated to UI design and interactivity, largely on WordPress.

    UI Designer - Trodat SA

    Joining Trodat SA gave me the opportunity to grow my passion for customer-focused design from a desktop publishing perspective. The opportunity allowed me to design and build my first enterprise website www.rse.co.za
  • February 2018 - November 2018

    UI Designer - Skye Lab Technologies

    My primary role involved UI & Web Design with a strong quality assurance component. I maintained all brand guidelines for Sky-Lab Technologies and designed/ built websites for their clients. During my tenure, I dedicated my time to the strategic UX decisions to formalize the final UI designs. Designs were responsive in nature requiring testing for mobile and tablet.
  • December 2018 - September 2019

    UI Designer - Transaction Capital Recoveries

    I maintained a client-interfacing role which allowed a greater level of strategic decision making. In addition to designing and maintaining responsive client websites, I upskilled to manage several channels and mediums (Email, Magazine, Facebook and Instagram). In each case, I took care of the design, determined the placement and inner workings of the ads and crafted the UI experience and content. This gave me a better understanding of the client-centred approach through an omnichannel perspective and certainly influenced my UI / UX decision making ability.

    UI / Visual Designer - IQ Business

    I collaborate with product management and engineering to define and implement innovative solutions for the product direction, visuals and experience, Execute all visual design stages from concept to final hand-off to engineering. I conceptualize original ideas that bring simplicity and user-friendliness to complex design roadblocks, create storyboards, user flows, process flows and site maps to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas Present and defend designs and key milestone deliverables to peers and executive level stakeholders. I also conduct user research and evaluate user feedback, I establish and promote design guidelines, best practices and standards.

    UX/UI Designer - Lov.Cash [Contract]

    Collaborate closely with the Lov.Cash team (Designers, developers & Managers), maintaining clear lines of communication with key stakeholders while creating, improving wireframes, prototypes, style guides, user flows and effectively communicating my interaction ideas I also Design a variety of print & multimedia materials as needed

    Intermedtiate UX Designer

    My role at TIH is mainly as a UX designer, I am responsible for conducting preliminary research, usability testing of designs and processes, I currently work with Dial Direct, along with other designers to create and maintain the brand's design system, while also working to launch a new product offering sponsored by Dial Direct, Dial direct website revamp, and also working on a cross-brand dashboard for call center agents. My accomplishments thus far: launching the Dial direct Design System, partially deploying some fixes and new pages to the dial direct website, as well as the inception of an icon library for the brand
